Two sources, one sink
| Source | Amount | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Dungeon clear | 200 - 500 Gems | Finish the dungeon at a higher tier or difficulty |
| Gem package | 2,000 - 50,000 Gems | Robux, five tiers, region-restricted |
| Everything else | None documented | No mob drops, no login bonus, no Gold conversion |
Dungeon Quest Reborn gems are the cosmetic currency only. Every number on this page is taken from the official DQR Wiki economy pages, last updated in October 2026 — confirm the live figure in the Shop before you spend.
How to get Dungeon Quest Reborn gems
The free route is the dungeon clear. Every completed Dungeon Quest Reborn dungeon pays a Gem reward on top of its loot roll, and the official wiki gives the range as 200 to 500 Gems depending on the dungeon tier and the difficulty you finished. That is a per-clear payout, not a per-mob drop: killing extra enemies in a room does not move the number, so the only way to raise your Gem income through play is to clear higher content more often.
The paid route is the Gem package list in the Shop. Five tiers are documented, and they do not scale linearly — the price per 1,000 Gems falls from 99.5 Robux at the entry tier to 60.0 at the top, with one anomaly in the middle: the 22,500-Gem tier is a worse rate than the 12,000-Gem tier below it. If you are buying Dungeon Quest Reborn gems with Robux, buying the 12,000 package twice costs 1,598 Robux for 24,000 Gems, which beats 1,599 Robux for 22,500.
One regional caveat matters before you plan a purchase. The official wiki records that the August 29, 2026 update disabled Robux Gem purchases in regions with paid-item restrictions, naming Australia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Brazil and the United Kingdom. In those regions the dungeon clear is the only Gem source, so crate goals have to be budgeted in clears rather than Robux.
Dungeon Quest Reborn gems price list
All five documented packages, with the Robux cost per 1,000 Gems worked out from the official amounts. The last column is arithmetic on the listed prices, not an in-game stat, and it is the one number that tells you which tier is actually discounted:
| Package | Robux | Robux per 1,000 Gems |
|---|---|---|
| 2,000 Gems | 199 | 99.5 |
| 5,500 Gems | 399 | 72.5 |
| 12,000 Gems | 799 | 66.6 |
| 22,500 Gems | 1,599 | 71.1 |
| 50,000 Gems | 2,999 | 60.0 |
Read the table as a value curve with one dip. The 5,500 and 22,500 tiers both sit above the rate of the package below them, so the cheapest way to buy a fixed number of Dungeon Quest Reborn gems is usually repeated 12,000 packages plus one 2,000 filler, not the largest bundle you can afford.
What Dungeon Quest Reborn gems are spent on
Crates, and only crates. The three cosmetic cases are the entire Gem sink, and each one prints its own odds — the Legendary Crate is the only case that can pay out a legendary cosmetic. The last column converts the price into dungeon clears at the official 200-500 Gems per clear range:
| Crate | Gem cost | Printed odds | Clears needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rare Crate | 5,000 | Uncommon 70%, Rare 30% | 10 - 25 |
| Epic Crate | 7,500 | Uncommon 50%, Rare 35%, Epic 15% | 15 - 38 |
| Legendary Crate | 10,000 | Rare 50%, Epic 35%, Legendary 15% | 20 - 50 |
The clears column assumes you bank every Gem and spend nothing else. A Legendary Crate at the 500-Gem ceiling is twenty clears; at the 200-Gem floor it is fifty. Since the legendary tier is a 15% roll, the expected cost of a specific legendary cosmetic is roughly 6.7 crates — about 66,700 Gems — before any luck, so budget a crate count rather than a single spin.
The rest of the economy runs on Gold and never touches your Gem balance: gear upgrades, skill point resets, gamepasses and player trading are all Gold. The one screen that can mislead you is the boost section of the Shop, where the game can briefly display a Gems price for an XP boost after you buy another boost — the official wiki calls that a visual placeholder, and XP boosts are bought with Gold.
Dungeon Quest Reborn gems versus Gold
The two currencies are not interchangeable and they answer different questions. Gold is the progression currency — it buys gamepasses on a ladder that scales with your unlocked dungeons, pays for equipment upgrades to maximum potential, covers skill point resets and funds trades with other players. Gems are the appearance currency: they buy cosmetic crates and nothing else, which is why a player with a huge Gem balance can still be stuck on gear.
That split is also the reason to think twice before spending. Ten thousand Dungeon Quest Reborn gems on a Legendary Crate buys a cosmetic that changes nothing about your damage, health, stamina or spell power, while the same effort in dungeon clears would have produced Gold, XP and loot rolls. Buy crates after your clears are stable, not before.
FAQ
How do you get gems in Dungeon Quest Reborn?
Dungeon Quest Reborn gems come from two documented sources. Finishing a dungeon awards 200-500 Gems depending on the dungeon tier and difficulty, and Gem packages can be bought directly with Robux in five tiers from 2,000 to 50,000 Gems. The official DQR Wiki lists no other source, so there is no Gem drop from mobs, no login bonus and no Gem conversion from Gold.
How many gems does a dungeon give in Dungeon Quest Reborn?
Between 200 and 500 Gems per completed dungeon. The official wiki states the payout varies with the dungeon tier and the difficulty you clear, but does not publish a per-dungeon breakdown, so we do not quote a single dungeon as the 500-Gem case. Treat the top of the range as the hardest difficulties you can clear consistently.
How much do Dungeon Quest Reborn gems cost in Robux?
The five official packages are 2,000 Gems for 199 Robux, 5,500 for 399, 12,000 for 799, 22,500 for 1,599 and 50,000 for 2,999. Because the amounts do not scale in a straight line, the price per 1,000 Gems ranges from 99.5 Robux at the smallest tier down to 60.0 at the largest.
What are gems used for in Dungeon Quest Reborn?
Gems buy cosmetics and crates, and nothing else. The official wiki splits the Shop by currency: crates are Gem-only, gamepasses and boosts are Gold-only, and featured or rotating cosmetics are Robux-only. That means Dungeon Quest Reborn gems never buy gear upgrades, skill resets or gamepasses, which is the most common assumption players arrive with.
Can you convert gems to gold in Dungeon Quest Reborn?
No Gem-to-Gold conversion is documented. Gold comes from dungeon and Boss Raid clears plus Daily Rewards, and Gems come from clears and Robux packages, so the two currencies run on separate tracks. If you need Gold for a gamepass or an upgrade, grinding dungeons is the route; Gems will not help.
How many dungeon clears does a crate take in Dungeon Quest Reborn?
Ten to twenty-five clears for the 5,000-Gem Rare Crate, fifteen to thirty-eight for the 7,500-Gem Epic Crate, and twenty to fifty for the 10,000-Gem Legendary Crate. That range is simple arithmetic on the official 200-500 Gems per clear, not a measured drop rate, so the low end only applies if you are clearing the hardest content you have access to.
Is the 22,500 gem package worth buying in Dungeon Quest Reborn?
It is worse value than the tier below it. At the official prices the 12,000-Gem package costs 66.6 Robux per 1,000 Gems while the 22,500-Gem package costs 71.1, so paying 1,599 Robux for the larger bundle buys you a weaker rate than 799 Robux for the smaller one. The 50,000-Gem package at 60.0 is the only genuinely discounted tier.
Can you buy gems in every country in Dungeon Quest Reborn?
No. The official wiki records that the documented August 29, 2026 update disabled Robux Gem purchases in regions with paid-item restrictions, naming Australia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Brazil and the United Kingdom. Dungeon clears still pay Gems there, so those players earn crates purely through play.
